Villarreal CF, one of Spain’s most respected clubs for youth development, has extended its methodology across the world through the Villarreal Academy network. In Australia, Villarreal is growing rapidly with two academies: Villarreal Sydney and Villarreal Brisbane. Both share the same mission, to create real pathways for young Australian players to train, grow, and one day achieve their football dreams.

Villarreal Sydney, Pioneers Since 2019

Following the launch of Villarreal Melbourne, Villarreal Sydney opened in 2019 to bring the club’s methodology to New South Wales. Based across St Ives, Mona Vale, Manly Vale, and Parramatta, it has become a trusted reference for families seeking a professional environment and a real pathway to Spain.

The academy has already produced incredible success stories:

Elin Maljaars, debut with Villarreal CF against FC Barcelona FC.
Diego Palacios Valencia, signed for Villarreal CF U19s.
Nine Villarreal Sydney players currently part of Villarreal CF’s Player Development Program (PDP) in Spain.

Villarreal Brisbane, Expanding the Pathway in Queensland.

Founded in 2022, Villarreal Brisbane has quickly become the most ambitious football academy in Queensland. Training takes place at the Spanish Centre Acacia Ridge, a venue with deep cultural roots and history, creating a special community environment for our players and families.

In 2025, players from Sydney and Brisbane will travel to Spain for the Villarreal Academy Tour, training at Villarreal CF’s official facilities.
