Ellai first attended a Villarreal Sydney Academy Clinic 4 years ago alongside his twin brother Nacho, where both players quickly caught the attention of our coaching staff with their quality and football intelligence.

A midfielder capable of playing both as a central midfielder and attacking midfielder, Ellai has continued to develop through multiple international experiences within the Villarreal CF pathway.

After years of progression and commitment, Villarreal CF decided it was the right moment for him to remain in Spain permanently. He is now training with the Villarreal CF U16, continuing his development in one of Europe’s top football environments.

For the 2025/26 season, Ellai has also been selected to represent the Philippines national under-17 football team, a fantastic achievement and another important step in his journey.
